Founder and Managing Director: Patrick Kearns began his tennis career by attending the Professional Tennis Management program at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Kearns was in the inaugural Professional Tennis Management class at Ferris State.
He graduated in 1989 and has since been a USPTA and PTR professional. Kearns spent the first two years of his career working at the John's Island Club in Vero Beach, Florida, five years at the Round Hill Club in Greenwich, Connecticut, and two years at the Country Club of Darien. He was the Head Tennis Professional at Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Virginia from 1995 until 2012.
Since arriving in Virginia, Mr. Kearns has been awarded the USPTA Virginia Professional of the Year in 1999, 2000, 2007 and 2010 and was the winner of the USPTA Mid-Atlantic Professional of the Year in 2000 and 2008. In 2009 Farmington Country Club was named the USTA Virginia Club of the Year. Kearns has spoken at numerous conventions and regional tennis conferences on all facets of the tennis industry and has served on many tennis committees and boards helping to promote grass roots tennis. In 2008 he was featured in Club and Resort Business Magazine.
In 2012 Patrick purchased 4 Star Camps, opened the Charlottesville Tennis Shop, and became the USPTA Mid Atlantic Executive Director. I was able to take the tennis shop from zero to $225,000 in sales before I sold the tennis shop to my partner. In 2022 Patrick stepped down as the Executive Director and in 2023 Patrick sold his tennis shop. Currently, Patrick is enjoying semi retirement and working with the University of Virginia Men's and Women's Tennis Team as their Racket Services Coordinator.
